AAIM Shares Data at ACGME Program Directors Competency Summit

  
ACGME and the Organization of Program Directors Associations hosted a summit December 12, 2018, to define the essential competencies required for successful program leadership on a spectrum from new to experienced program directors. The summit brought together representatives from key stakeholders—including AAIM President D. Craig Brater, MD, APDIM President Donna J. Astiz, MD, APDIM Past President Melvin Blanchard, MD, and ASP Councilor Scott J. Gilbert, MD, FASN—to review what is currently in use and to begin to develop consensus on key aspects of a successful program director common to all specialties.
